Shehzada is a 2023 Hindi action film starring Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon. It is directed by Rohit Dhawan and produced by T-Series Films, Haarika & Hassine Creations, Geetha Arts and Brat Films1. It is the official Hindi remake of the 2020 Telugu blockbuster Ala Vaikunthapurramloo starring Allu Arjun and Pooja Hegde2.
The film revolves around Bantu (Kartik Aaryan), a young man who is hated by his father Valmiki (Paresh Rawal) since he was a toddler. Valmiki had switched Bantu with the son of a rich businessman Aditya Jindal (Sachin Khedekar) at birth. Bantu grows up with low self-esteem and works as a personal assistant for Samara (Kriti Sanon), a feisty boss who falls in love with him. Bantu’s life changes when he discovers his true identity and decides to seek his real parents’ love and protect them from their enemies, especially Randeep Nanda (Ronit Roy), a ruthless tycoon who wants to destroy Jindal’s business empire3.
Shehzada was released in theatres on February 17, 2023 and received mixed reviews from critics and audiences.
