Asus 6z Review:

Chinese smartphone maker Asus launched Zenfone 6 in China last month. In India, it has been re-branded and launched on June 19 under the name of Asus 6z. The reason for re-branding this is the name of the smartphone, in fact Zen Mobile objected to the title of this smartphone, after which it was renamed as Asus 6z. Apart from the name, there is no change in the features of Zenfone 6 and Asus 6z. Asus 6z is the company’s flagship smartphone, which is launched with Qualcomm’s latest processor Snapdragon 855 mobile platform. The phone has a 48-megapixel primary camera like most flagship smartphones launched this year. This smartphone’s flip camera mechanism is its USP. Today, we are going to tell you all the features and specifications of this smartphone in this review.

Design

The first thing to talk about is the design of the smartphone, its design is not as appealing as the company’s last gaming smartphone Asus ROG, but you would love to have a no-look display and robotic camera mechanism. The phone weighs 190 grams, which is slightly larger than other flagship smartphones such as OnePlus 7 in this range. The phone has a 3.5mm headphone jack, which will definitely give music lovers a sense of comfort. The in-display fingerprint sensor is not given in the phone, you can make it a little frustrating.

In-display fingerprint sensor is available in many mid-range and premium range smartphone launches this year. It has a traditional rear-mounted physical fingerprint sensor. The body of the phone is made of gorilla glass and the aluminum frame is found around the rim. Wireless charging is not given in the phone, it can also make you a little disappointed. The size of the phone is 159.1 x 75.44 x 9.1mm. On the right side of the phone is given power button, volume rockers and short cut. At the same time, the phone’s left and SIM card slot is given in which you can place two SIM cards and a MicroSD card.

The display

Asus 6z has a 6.4-inch IPS LCD display. In most flagship smartphones, you get to see your OLED display, the main reason is that you get more dark black spot in the OLED display. Apart from this, the OLED display enhances your battery life. Along with this, features like Always On Display are also available. The OLED display is not used in this smartphone, which can frustrate you. The phone’s screen to body ratio is given up to 92 percent. Brightness maximum of 600 nits of display is given. The display’s resolution is 2,340 x 1,080 pixels with 403ppi. At the same time, the display’s aspect ratio is given 19.5: 9. You can watch 4K quality video in this display. Due to not being a niche in the display, it also does not affect your flip selfie camera.

The performance

Speaking of the performance of Asus 6z, Qualcomm SunPadRagan 855 mobile platform processor has been given in it. The phone comes with two RAM options 6GB and 8GB. Along with this, the phone comes with three storage options 64GB, 128GB and 256GB. Increase the phone’s internal storage via microSD card to 2TB. The phone works on the operating system based on Android 9 pie. If you look at AnTuTu’s data, Asus 6z has got 370,000 points on the AnTuTu benchmark, which is more than the Samsung flagship smartphone Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus launched this year.

The phone has a powerful processor as well as an Adreno 640 graphics processing unit which gives better graphics quality while playing a game. The phone’s processor is equipped with 4th Generation Qualcomm Artificial Engine. This phone can be a better option for multitasking. However, I felt slight flammability in the rear panel while playing PUBG in this smartphone but there was no problem of lagging in playing games.

The phone’s display is also sensitized, you can play games with better graphics or stream online content. The phone has a powerful battery of 5,000 mAh with Quick Charge 4.0 support. The company’s claim is that the phone’s battery lasts for two days but the battery of the phone does not run for more than 1.5 days if it is too much use.

The camera

Now talk about the most important feature of the phone, in this flagship smartphone that launches this year, you have got a 48 megapixel camera. Asus 6z also gives you the 48 megapixel Sony IMX586 flagship primary camera. Simultaneously, a 13-megapixel secondary camera is available. Both cameras are horizontally allied with Flip Mechanism technology. Dual LED flash and laser autofocus have been fitted between these two cameras.

In the primary camera of the phone, f.1.79 aperture is given, which clicks the photo of 48 megapixels in pro mode. Right, in the normal mode, it clicks the picture of 12 megapixels. Talking about the secondary camera of the phone, the 13-megapixel secondary camera is provided with 125-degree ultra-wide field of view.

The camera of the phone supports motion tracking video. Also, slow motion and 4K quality video can record with 60fps super stability. In case of camera, the phone is excellent, due to flip mechanism, you can also get 48 megapixels super selfie.

Our decision

After reviewing the overall review of Asus 6z, we felt that more competition is now going on between the flagship smartphone. The phone is much better in terms of camera and battery. Especially 48 megapixel flip camera mechanisms are the USP of this smartphone. Selfie Lover can also like this phone because the 48 megapixel selfie is not currently available in any flagship smartphone. However, the design of the phone can frustrate you. Apart from this, the absence of an in-display fingerprint sensor can also disappoint you. Because, in most flagship smartphones you get in-display fingerprint sensor.
